This has become my favorite Holiday tradition in the past few years. I have a friend here in Texas who is from a small town in Sweden. Each year for the holiday season, the local merchants have a giant goat built from straw in the town square. Well, what is the obvious thing that local youth do with a huge straw goat? That’s right…set it on FIRE!

So basically the merchants build the goat and the local youth try to set it on fire before the end of the season. The merchants don’t want the goat set on fire so do whatever is possible to stop/catch them. Cameras, patrols, etc… So in the past few years they have actually fed one of the cameras to the net. I now am obsessed and check several times a day to see if the goat is burning yet! I have no idea why I find this addictive, but damnit! I want to see the sucka burn!

Last year I caught it when it was almost completely burned, but my friend lucked up and got to see it catch!
